Oh what a Night!

Local charities that stand together, change lives together. 

We are incredibly honoured to announce that PEAK has been chosen as the Gloucester Charity Skittles League’s: Charity of the Year.

Alongside this incredible recognition, the league has made a generous donation to support our work with neurodivergent children and their families.

Looking around the room, it was clear this organisation is built on community, friendship and generosity. While trophies celebrated achievements on the skittles alley, the greatest achievement was seeing so many people choosing to give back and make a difference to others.

On behalf of everyone at PEAK, thank you to the committee, every team and every player. Your support will help us continue providing free advice, advocacy and support to families who need it most.

Together, we’re proving that when communities stand together, incredible things happen.

 Schools out for Summer
Travelling across the Nation today PEAK was visiting PGL Adventures site in Lincolnshire as we were invited to support the incredible work PGL are doing to continuously create inclusive opportunities for our Neurodivergent community, ensuring children and families get the best experiences. 

In addition PEAK is excited to share that for the first time ever, over the summer, our support consultation services will continue throughout the six week holidays to reassure and guide families through the challenges that they are navigating.

11th July  2026  

PEAK Day 2026 was our biggest, most inclusive celebration yet. From the moment families arrived until the very end, the field was filled with laughter, friendship, adventure and memories that will last a lifetime.

Despite the soaring temperatures, nobody let the heat dampen the spirit of the day. Volunteers kept smiling, exhibitors and performers gave everything they had, vendors welcomed everyone with warmth, and our incredible visitors embraced every moment.

These photos remind us what PEAK Day is really about.

It’s about children finding the confidence to try something new.

It’s about families feeling accepted without judgement.

It’s about communities coming together to create a space where neurodivergent and neurotypical people can simply enjoy being together.

To think this is now our second consecutive year delivering an event of this scale is something we’re incredibly proud of, but it’s only possible because of the amazing community that surrounds PEAK.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in what we’re building.

   Continuing to create inclusive opportunities for the next generation with our latest work experience, young Josie from Denmark Road High School who joined the charity for a week to learn from all the various departments including fundraising, family support, Events, Media and community outreach. Another shining example that our future is embracing, understanding and accepting the wonderful Neurodivergent world we are all a part of.

and especially Community Champion Helen for the extremely generous donations to our Raffle and Tombola stalls.

 Starting the week with Celebration as our charity nominated at the 2026 Rotary Awards not only walked away with another community award and grant but also a completely unexpected surprise…..

Out of 55 applicants finalised and 38 recipients in various fields, on the day, there was one organisation selected to be the recipient of an additional award..

The Mina Ward Award
Named after a Rotarian president of the highest honours who dedicated her life to the service for others in need Mina sadly passed away at a young age.

This award provided an additional grant to a service that stood out amongst all the others (an incredibly difficult choice given all the amazing organisations present). We are delighted to announce that PEAK was chosen for this heartfelt honour presented by Mina’s parents and an emotional hug between our charity’s founder and Mina’s mother Rosemary. 

On behalf of the charity, we are so humbly honoured to have been considered, nominated and selected for not just 1 but 2 incredible awards that represent the importance of the ongoing work services like ours continue to do.

We would like to pay special, thank you to Rotary Club of Gloucester for selecting our service BBC and presenter on the day Jon Smith , Mina’s parents and of course all the great organisations that we were privileged to share the day with and all of whom make a difference everyday.

We are so happy to see that the consistency of our work continues to be maintained and delivered at every level from the local communities we continue to serve since our humble beginnings, to the growing national awareness of the projects we support in other Communities ensuring that all 

Neurodivergent children grow up to have every developmental opportunity and right so they can succeed in life.

7th May 2026

 Bobby in Year 7 Crypt School, completed an amazing challenge, tackling 10km along the Jurassic Coast last year and raised over £1200 for Cancer Research. This year he's doing it all again for P.E.A.K. to help autistic children and their families. 

Bobby said: "I’ve never used the support that P.E.A.K give but I know children and families that have and how that’s changed their lives. I want the help educate people on autism and the challenges people face living with and caring for those who have autism. Until very recently, I was worried about sharing my diagnosis because of the misconceptions of what it means to be autistic, however, with support and understanding I would now like to use my own experiences to raise awareness and help all children who feel misunderstood. 

The course itself is a 10km trail run over the cliffs in Bridport with over 250m of elevation, which was incredibly tough, sport is not my forte. Jurassic coast is one of my favourite places so that’s why we chose this one."

9th April 2026!

 Lights, Camera, Action! 

Wow what an incredible afternoon yesterday at our first Sen Cinema event hosted by PEAK and in partnership with Cineworld Cinemas.

Together we welcomed families to a comfortable and inclusive movie experience for our neuro-diverse audience. These screenings featured adjustments to create a sensory-friendly environment, including reduced sound levels, dimmed lighting, no ads or trailers and the freedom to move around or make noise without judgement. One child was lying on the floor with a big smile on his face as he watched the movie and parents settled in to a stress-free and enjoyable cinema visit with no fear of judgment in a community of understanding so they could relax and fully immerse themselves in the magic of movies.

At the conclusion each child went home with a special gift to conclude our Easter Holiday Respite programs.

3rd April 2026!

 We welcomed wonderful visitors today to our first ever PEAK Easter egg Trail!

Seeing so many families come together and delivering our prizes  at the end of the day to beautiful children that were jumping with joy. 

We asked the crowd would they like us to do it again next year and they all cheered “Yes” 

A special thank you to Gloucester Old Boys Rugby club for supporting our charity with your fantastic site and the biggest thank you to our community for the fulfilment we gain every day serving you.

Concluding another week on our mission here are some highlights of yesterday’s Community Support session where we shared our holiday respite programs,  upcoming events, discussed strategies to help children/families over the holidays and supported each other through current challenges. 

We want to also thank so many who continue to contribute to our community, Karen and her Daughter for the Peak mugs, delicious cakes and more and Hillview Church who allow the charity to host our community sessions and meetings. Everyone who has attended and contributed in some way. The power of Community coming together to make our society better

23rd March  2026!  

 This week our charity is celebrating Community and shining a light on the inclusive partnership work we do as we work together to create a better future. 

Starting of with supporting growth in the next generation we welcomed our first work experience two students from Denmark Road High School who we previously met a career’s fair and it was a pleasure having them join us.

Our charity welcomes all Volunteers who have a passion for improving our society 

6th March 2026!   

This week we had the opportunity alongside other services to advise and support families and collaborate with professionals as we continue to work together to create a more inclusive and aware society. 

We had barely set up the banner before families shifted to our charity stall with questions. The highlight of the day a parent walking over to thank us with a great big hug. When we first met this parent there were tears as they shared their story.

It was so heartfelt to see the shift from distress to empowerment after just one session with our family support consultant and being able to help that parent find the empowerment within them after just one meeting.

We are so grateful to our host Finlay Community School who hold regular coffee mornings and opportunities that are dedicated to support as many families as possible and great to link with old and new friends from organisations such as Gloucestershire Dyslexia Association, Kate Morris Tutoring and many others

28th February 2026!  

  Continuing this weeks message of Hope

Our charity shined a light  on the beauty of our children’s Neurodiversity and the empowerment it gives them as individuals while diving in to issues such as the white paper and government projected SEN reforms with the most important message re-affirming that as parents we are the foundations of our children’s future and we will continue to do all we need to do to help our children reach their Peak potential. 

10th February 2026!  

  As we continue to celebrate and support Children’s Mental Health week, alongside fellow family support services, our charity was invited to Kingsway Primary School’s parental information evening where we shared strategies and neurodivergent affirming best practice with professionals and parents alike.

When schools, services and families work together, real change happens.
Through collaboration, understanding and shared learning, we move closer to creating inclusive environments where every child can thrive and as we like to say reach their Peak potential 

Working Together, we are building a more informed, compassionate and inclusive society.
 

16th May 2025!

Another fantastic PEAK community session took place last week! This time, our focus was: ‘Supporting my child’s SEN needs through their educational setting.’

It was a wonderful opportunity to welcome new faces and reconnect with familiar ones – sharing experiences, ideas, and coming together as a community to support one another.

During our interactive group task, our Peak family explored key attributes that contribute to supporting our children’s SEN needs, including:
* Challenges before school
* Staff understanding
* Knowledge and implementing plans
* Post-school demands
* Masking
* Transitioning to school
* Anxiety 

It was fantastic to see our attendees share their thoughts and reflections with the whole group – thank you to everyone who contributed!

10th May 2025!

Kicking off National Women’s Health Week with a splash in Bath 💫❤️

Peak were invited to give the Opening Keynote Speech on Neurodiversity at the @satirev_projects Health Show, we met wonderful visitors and supported them and their children’s needs through workshops and resources, meeting and collaborating with other incredible Neurodiverse support services like @adhduk.co.uk and many more who truly showed us who runs the world 💪 🌍 ✨⛑️🌈🫶

Peak has been invited back next year and we are looking forward see you there, continuing to promote this important message and week of awareness.

April 2025!

This Easter Holidays Children in and out of education, pre & post diagnosis were given the opportunity to be included. 

Our incredible team led by Leigh supported children across the spectrum gaining new skills and having fun while their parents received some much needed rest. So many smiles and wonderful words were shared from children and their families who attended. 

A Huge congratulations to the Forest school team on another great success and from the words of one child who attended our program after being rejected or unable to attend others “Can I come back to Peak’s Forest school next time” Yes you can buddy

Yet another fantastic Community Group Session, and our first evening online one! It was wonderful to welcome both familiar and new faces — each one a reminder of the strength, and inclusion that defines our PEAK community.

  Celebrating with some Supermums!

A wonderful way to end a busy week for PEAK. After empowering across the nation this week securing more wins and getting children the provisions they need to get their best development circumstances whilst also supporting those who are still struggling to have their children’s voice heard, for our last task of the day we had the pleasure of dropping off our respite spa day vouchers to some of the winners of our Mother’s Day competition. As for the others keep a lookout for the PEAK postman coming your way with more deliveries to make over the next few days

 Mothers Day Respite Gift Announcement. With Mother’s Day approaching this Sunday, how would you like the opportunity to give a loved one, a family member, a friend, a parent who has given maternal care to their Neurodiverse Child.

PEAK Parenting Empowered Autistic Kids have partnered with The Greenway Hotel in the Cotswolds to donated 10 Spa experiences – including a luxurious afternoon tea!  At PEAK, we don’t just support children’s needs, we believe in supporting parents too. 

 That’s why we’re offering this incredible opportunity for some well-deserved respite!We know how hard parents work – endlessly supporting and giving their all to their families, going above and beyond often to the point of burnout. Let’s prevent that risk of burnout by giving these parents the opportunity to recharge, refresh and empowered to come back stronger.

 This Monday Morning PEAK were invited to speak at Neurodiversi-Tea Natters community support group in Tewkesbury, meeting a variety of wonderful parents who are striving to support their children’s needs and overcome hurdles that present themselves. Today we shared hope with reassurance, advisory strategies and actions that will help those children have a better outcome.

Thank you to Kate Morris, Emily Hastings and all the parents for welcoming us, we will continue to be there and help your children reach their Peak Potential 

October Half Term -  October 2024

 Back by popular demand and due to overwhelming request PEAK forest school returned - for children ages 4 - 11 with an EHCP. 

A wonderful opportunity for children to continue exploring, learning and building on their social interactions and development during half term.

 Concluding the Summer with a huge congratulations to our Forrest school Team who have given kids across the county of Gloucestershire an incredible summer of acceptance, fun and opportunity. This is our second year of supporting summer respite programs and certainly took it to the next level with so many more children participating this year. We look forward to creating more of these programs in the future but for now Congratulations to Leigh and the team you made the sun shine this Summer  

Our Peak Forest School this summer is the  first Forest School Summer Project  for children ages 4 - 11 with an EHCP. 

This is a wonderful opportunity for children to continue exploring, learning and building on their social interactions and development during the summer holidays

   Peak was thrilled to have been invited back to a Parent Led Support Group hosted by MAPs (Minchinhampton Additional Needs Parent Support Group). at Minchinhampton.

We were available for parents/carers to talk with us about any questions or concerns they might have had regarding their child(ren). We shared on-the-spot advice and strategies, as well as booking further appointments for anyone seeking additional information and support.

It was a great opportunity to meet like-minded families in a non-judgmental and supportive community for a cuppa and a chat. We look forward to the next event!

Brewing Awareness and Acceptance at "Neurodiversi-Tea Natters"!

Peak visited & presented in Twyning today! It’s an absolute honour to be invited to meet and speak with so many passionate and resilient parents and community support groups such as Neurodiversi-Tea Natters . We had the privilege of connecting with so many incredible families, offering advice, guidance, and strategies to navigate the beautiful journey of raising neurodiverse children. We also met up and heard from great organisations like old friends, Active Impact. Together we are all doing our part to give the best future for our children Peak spoke out about the services we offer, sharing success stories with our clients, some who were in the audience, and continuing that message of hope that our little ones can, should and will have the best outcomes if we remain vigilant, strong and support each other just like this wonderful community group are doing.

It’s been wonderful to receive emails and messages like this from families we have been working with who this week are starting their new schools, be they primary, secondary, or specialist provision. Your child deserves the best setting that will help them thrive and Peak is dedicated to helping our children get the very best, Here’s Oliver off on his first day, congratulations buddy for everything you will achieve  

24th August 2023

  Meet Ollie & Darcy! This Summer Peak has been able to support families like Ollie & Darcy’s by funding respite programs, such as Forest school. 

Ollie has ADHD and ASD. His sister Darcy has multiple additional needs and attends a specialist provision. Ollie’s sensory needs and ASD prevent him from managing a mainstream classroom and will look to also be attending a specialist provision.

As a family they have a lot to manage on a daily basis.. After reaching out to PEAK we were able to fund him Forest School this summer giving parents some well needed respite as he needs constant supervision and stimulation. 

14th July 2023  

Peak were invited back to support EDF's staff as special guest speakers, attending the EDF Online Working Parents Seminar. Sharing our expertise across the nation how to support working Neurodiverse families offering guidance and support strategies for parents and employers navigating the spectrum to get the best results for their staff and children. The event was a great success and many families felt reassured and supported.

14th June 2023  

Peak were invited to a Parent Led Support Group this morning by MAPs (Minchinhampton Additional Needs Parent Support Group) We met with some amazing parents, school representatives and parental support organisations like the Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum. Together we shared stories, experiences, and challenges across the spectrum. Support groups like these really provide a sense of community for parents and carers. It also allows parents to build relationships with other parents, learn from each other, and build a support network. These support groups are invaluable in helping parents navigate our neurodiverse world. It was a pleasure for Peak to have been a part of it and to be able to share advice and strategies on the spot.       

7th June 2023

     Peak was privileged to attend the WPA event at Benefact Trust and support the employees and families of neurodiverse individuals. This workshop gave those who attended the opportunity to discuss the vast challenges and perspectives of neurodiversity within their own families. They shared their experiences living with a neurodiverse family member and raised questions, and topics of areas that they wanted to hear and learn more about. The event was a great success, and we feel very privileged to have been a part of this and to have met so many wonderful people who are committed to supporting and raising neurodiverse families.
